I started my fitness journey because I was getting married in November. At the beginning of the year I was almost 200lbs, the heaviest I’d ever been, and not happy with how I looked or felt. I decided to join the gym and successfully lost 20lbs for the wedding, am keeping the weight off, and feel better!

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at 28. There were many days it was hard for me to get out of bed and play with my kids. I decided I was going to start moving my body and do what I can could to start feeling better. Since starting with my coach I’ve not only lost 10lbs but I’m able to keep up with my children!

At Age 70 I found myself in a funk. My children live out of state, and I don’t get to see them as often as I would like. I was feeling down and gained 10lbs… then I saw Anytime Fitness had a promotion. What did I have to lose except a few lbs? I signed up and have now lost 20lbs… feeling younger, healthier, and more motivated than I have in a while.

My journey started at the end of the pandemic. I’d gained 42lbs… and my health had taken a serious toll. The doctor said I needed to start exercising or there would be additional steps to take. So, I chose to join the gym (Anytime Fitness)! Since joining I’ve lost the 42lbs and improved my medical concerns to the point where they are almost nonexistent!

Before joining Anytime Fitness I was living a sedentary lifestyle and was overweight. I noticed that my weight was continuing to increase and I was ready to make a change… lose weight, enjoy my retirement, and spend time with my daughter. Since joining I’ve lost 20lbs, gained muscle, and have much more energy!

Since joining I’ve gained 20 lbs of muscle mass! Showing up everyday is the key to my success. My advice? The only person you should be better than is the person you were yesterday. Don’t stop! Keep motivated and train in discipline.
